Injury Management & Recovery
It’s normal to feel sore
At some point, almost every member experiences a niggle, tweak or ache.
It’s part of getting stronger, fitter and more resilient.
The good news?
Most issues are manageable and don’t mean you need to stop training.
What matters is addressing them early instead of pushing through and making things worse.
What to do when something feels off
If something doesn’t feel quite right, follow these simple steps:
- Rest — Reduce or modify the movement that’s causing discomfort (no need to stop completely unless advised)
- Ice — Apply for 10–15 minutes, especially for new pain or swelling
- Compression — Use a light sleeve or bandage if there’s swelling
- Elevation — When resting, keep the area raised if possible
Movement is medicine — gentle mobility and scaling your workouts is often better than doing nothing at all.
When should you see a professional?
If you notice any of the following, it’s time to get help:
- Pain is sharp or getting worse after 3–4 days
- You’re limping or compensating during movements
- There’s swelling or bruising
- The same issue keeps coming back regularly
Don’t wait — early treatment means faster recovery and less time away from training.

Prevention comes first

- Focus on full range of motion and good technique
- Don’t skip mobility or accessory work
- Listen to your coach and scale when needed
- Stay on top of recovery (sleep, nutrition, hydration)
